Abrasion - The surface wear ability of fabric such as on seating, executive chairs in leather will have less abrasion than an upholstered task chair in a rough fabric.

Base Cap – The solid wood cap that fits over a prong of the metal understructure base of an office desk or credenza or storage cabinet.

Building Core - The interior pluck of a building, including elevators, restrooms, stairwells, mechanical shafts, janitorial, electrical and phone closets.

CAD Drawing - The digital equivalent of a drawing, figure, or schematic created using a CAD system.

Casters - Wheels or rollers that are fitted to a chair base to provide mobility.  Casters are mostly seen on task chairs and executive chairs, however, file cabinets, computer tables, stackable seating, training tables, etc. are frequently fitted with casters.

Drawer Dividers - A partition in a box drawer that separates or divides the front panel from the back portion.  The box drawer is usually 6" deep and is the top drawer of the desk pedestal.

File Drawer - A drawer that is generally 12" to 13" in height and deep enough to support hanging file folders.

Overhang - A desk’s front area that overhangs the body or panels, usually 6" - 12" that allows guests to move closer in.
